Clinical Supervision For Illinois LCSW Candidates
You've got your MSW. Now you need supervised hours before the LCSW exam actually means something. I supervise a small group of clinicians working toward that, not through a standard textbook checklist, but the same way I practice: direct, unapologetic, and built around who you actually are as a clinician instead of who a training program assumed you'd be.
The Practical Stuff
One hour a week, in a group of no more than five supervisees, entirely remote over Zoom. $125 an hour. I know clinical-hour schedules are chaotic, so I keep evening and weekend slots open, you're not fighting a 9-to-5 supervisor for a Tuesday afternoon slot that doesn't exist.
Supervision Built On Accountability, Not Just Hours
This isn't supervision that stops at "unconditional positive regard" and calls it a day. I think unconditional positive regard means challenging the person you hold it for to be the best version of themselves, and that means challenging their privilege, in every form it shows up. Decolonizing our clinical work is a core piece of what we do here, and I push on it hard. You might get frustrated with me. You might even cry. Not because I think you're doing something wrong as a person, but because I think you're capable of more, and growth in this area is rarely comfortable. That standard applies to me too, I'm white, and I need people to hold me accountable for my privilege the same way I hold you accountable for yours. We examine what privilege looks like in the room, and more importantly, how we use it to actively push back against systems built on patriarchy and capitalism, instead of just quietly benefiting from them.
Who This Is For
Graduated MSWs pursuing LCSW licensure in Illinois, that's it, that's the lane. I can't supervise hours toward an LPC or other license track, and right now I can only provide hours that count toward Illinois licensure. (California's a maybe down the line; Maine isn't on the table.)

Then I can't be your supervisor of record right now. The hours have to count toward Illinois LCSW licensure specifically, not LPC or another track, and not another state.

Primarily group, up to five supervisees, one hour a week together. If a group isn't full, one-on-one is possible, though I can't promise it.
